Day Five:
Getting sick of Greece. May need to find new game to play. Read only one SciFi short story. Played piano until I didn't know anything else to play. Took a disconcertingly short amount of time. Sank into musical depression.
Changed. Noticed strange smell, had difficulty putting a name to it. Eventually realized it was called "clean."
Jason called, commented that my voice was croaky. Told him I hadn't had much chance to use it lately.
Went to Adam's house and saw many Animatrix shorts. Enjoyed them thoroughly, felt strange urge to put cord on glasses and buy pocket protector. Was attacked by Adam's dog. Was attacked again. Was attacked a third time. Fourth time, dog simply clamped onto trouser leg with and was unceremoniously dragged around for remainder of day.
Saw Identity with group of friends. Identity quite enjoyable except for stupid penultimate horror-movie monster-isn't-dead twist. After movie, couldn't stop talking. Found myself wondering if this was because I hadn't talked to friends in several days, or just normal behavior I hadn't indulged in for a while.
Caroline called during movie. Did not get to talk to Caroline. Sank back into musical depression.
Ants relentless. Worse than damned Greeks.

Day Four:
Found new computer games to play, solving problem of being sick of other ones. Read little SciFi, but found self searching for Star Wars films after watching century's 100 best heros and villains countdown. Geekiness appears to be stabilizing.
Changed, but not into clothes that could be reliably called "clean." Did laundry, though. Slobbiness also in holding pattern.
Was nagged about job, college, other foolishness. Worked out frustrations by conquering Greece. Stupid Greeks.
Played "Subterranean Homesick Alien" and weird spacey song I wrote on piano. Caroline would be furious. Getting away with it no consolation.
Call from Caroline disconcertingly cursory. She was in bath. Was still pondering implications when she called again. Second call was considerably more sappy.
Am still being attacked by ants.

Oops. Almost missed a day.
Day Three:
Played computer games. Am getting sick of them. Hardly read any SciFi novels.
Temporarily rediscovered self-respect; bathed, shaved, changed into clothes which, if they are not exactly clean, at least have not been slept in. Weapons contracts down shitter.
Had quite long conversation with Caroline. She is sick of beach and being far away from me. May have gotten too much sun. At least I do not have that problem.
Took advantage of Caroline's absence to play piano a lot, which she hates. Can now sufficiently reproduce "Subterranean Homesick Alien."
Am being attacked by ants.

Day Two:
Played computer games. Continued SciFi novels. Went to see The Italian Job...with family.
Visited friend. Played different computer games. Watched terrible Martin Lawrence movie. Wondered if there was any other sort of Martin Lawrence movie.
Neglected to bathe, shave, or change clothes. Can now knock down armies with the wind of my passage. Thinking of bottling it under the name "Eau Dure de Bachelor" and seeking weapon contracts.
Burned a few mix CDs to compensate for some of those I've lost. Currently really missing "OK Computer". Have only one Radiohead song on computer. Not the album, of course, the machine. Album "Computer" has several songs.
Caroline called and talked for a longer time, but threatened not to call any more. Caroline admitted threat was bluff about three seconds from auto-defenestration. Disastrous three-story drop onto pine needles (see below) averted.

Day One:
Played computer games. Read SciFi novels. Watched half of Spinal Tap, gave up.
Am turning into total nerd. Hope Caroline returns before I start following DragonBall Z.
Caroline called at 11:30. Practically jumped out of bed for joy. Talked for best seven minutes of my day.
